What Causes Keratoconus?
0 October 14, 2019
Keratoconus is a progressive eye disease in which the normally round cornea thins and begins to bulge into a cone like shape, causing distorted vision.
The Keratoconus condition depends on the age of the patient, and the intensity of rubbing the eyes.
Causes:
• Genetic predisposition
• Allergic diseases.
• Excessive eye rubbing.
The Keratoconus should be diagnosed and treated at an early stage. If the keratoconus is left untreated, it may lead to severe vision impairment.
